bones

Your face split itself down the middle and was sliding away
The forehead, and then the eyes
The nose cracking under slow pressure
Uncontrolled
Yet furiously slow.

With consciousness waning
The blurriness hazing over and over
Naive and restful
And over and over
Everything was there, but then gone
Returning to the fold.
